We’ve always said that customer service is the main reason that we started TCC Telecom. After having worked in the telecom industry for almost 13 years – starting out doing cabling and working up to programming phone systems – Matt was well aware of the low level of service offered to customers (and Meagan had heard all the horror stories, too). We set out to create a business where every customer felt important, valued, and their needs were met in a timely fashion.
How Did You Spend Your Weekend?
Last Wednesday we received a call from someone saying that they were having a ceiling inspection done on Tuesday – and the person they had contracted to do all their structured cabling had dropped the ball and was now no longer doing it! On Thursday we drove to the job for a site survey, came home and ordered all the equipment we needed, and Friday we were back on site to start working. Friday we worked until 10:30 pm. We were back at it Saturday working until 9:00 pm. Sunday morning Matt worked another 5 hours, and on Monday we were back on site to put the finishing touches on the job to get it inspection ready.
All-in-all, we spent close to 30 hours on site and pulled 130 cable drops! The other contractor knew about this job for weeks, and chose not to complete it – and we stepped in and saved the client from having to postpone their inspection, and potentially their projected move in date. We moved quickly to get in contact with the electrician and the general contractor on site to make sure to get all the information that we needed and coordinate schedules so we could get this job done in the right way and the right time frame.
